Product overview

The AEA R44CX is the highest-output passive version of AEA’s long-ribbon R44 design. Its stronger transformer ratio delivers more level to the preamp while retaining the broad low-frequency response, natural transients and smooth, authoritative presentation that make the R44 family distinctive.

Its ribbon transducer is intended to capture transients and upper frequencies smoothly, making it a useful alternative to condenser microphones on sources that can otherwise become hard or overly bright.
