Product overview

The AEA KU5A is an active supercardioid ribbon microphone designed for close work, live stages and recording situations where rejection is as important as ribbon smoothness. Its front-address format, built-in high-pass filter and durable protected ribbon make it easy to position on vocals, guitar cabinets, drums and brass.

Its ribbon transducer is intended to capture transients and upper frequencies smoothly, making it a useful alternative to condenser microphones on sources that can otherwise become hard or overly bright.
