Product overview

The AEA KU4 is a supercardioid ribbon microphone built for focused pickup with the smooth transient response and tonal density associated with a ribbon. Its directional pattern gives substantially more rejection than a traditional figure-8 ribbon, making it useful on vocals, guitar amplifiers, brass and drums when spill or room sound needs tighter control.

Its ribbon transducer is intended to capture transients and upper frequencies smoothly, making it a useful alternative to condenser microphones on sources that can otherwise become hard or overly bright.
