dreadbox-erebus-reissue
Dreadbox Erebus Reissue

The original Erebus approach returns in a compact semi-modular instrument with analogue tone and lo-fi delay.

A playable starting point for patching

Erebus Reissue revisits the original design with a paraphonic, semi-modular architecture. Its internal routing provides an immediate way to make sounds, while CV and gate connections invite you to redirect control and modulation as a patch develops. It is useful both as a self-contained voice and as part of a broader modular setup.

Delay as part of the instrument

The onboard lo-fi delay gives the synthesiser a further source of space, repetition and texture. A short setting can thicken a part; longer repeats can become part of the rhythm or encourage less predictable sound-design ideas. Because the effect sits with the synth controls, it is easy to treat it as a compositional element rather than an afterthought.

Connect to other instruments

CV and gate patching opens up relationships with compatible sequencers and modular equipment. MIDI adapter connectivity provides another route into a performance system. Paraphonic operation offers a different playing behaviour from independent polyphonic voices, so it rewards experimenting with note combinations and the shared articulation of the patch.

Desktop or Eurorack use

The 42 HP format allows integration into an appropriate Eurorack system. Eurorack current requirements are 180 mA at +12 V and 100 mA at -12 V; desktop use requires a suitable USB 5 V, 1 A supply. Choose the format around the way you want to perform and patch, with power planned for the complete system.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/1008/1216/1407/files/dreadbox-erebus-reissue-erebus-top-down-2560.jpg?v=1793281631
